How to cut cost without compromising on quality

For a corporate reception, wedding, or other large event, our hot canapes menus are a great way to feed guests without impeding their ability to mingle. And while a hot canapes and drinks reception is one of our more premium catering options—usually requiring an on-site chef—there’s no reason for it to break the bank. Here are some tips for cutting cost without compromising on quality.

Reduce numbers

It’s easy to put together a guest list that runs into the hundreds and base food estimates on that. But it’s always worth going back over it to create a shortlist, especially in the case of a corporate reception, by limiting guests to the essential invitees.

Use your own venue

All we need to serve hot canapes is a functional kitchen, so if you already have one why book somewhere else? Cut costs on venue hire by hosting on your own turf!

Quality, not quantity

You needn’t inundate your guests with a dozen different canapes. In fact, doing so detracts from the individual merits of each. Select a few great ones to complement your theme and let their quality speak for itself.

Provide your own drinks and service

Supplying your own alcohol is a great way to keep costs down. And while we’re happy to serve it for you, it’ll cut costs even further to let your guests help themselves. The same goes for the canapes. Setting up a catering station with the canapes and drinks beautifully presented for self-service is an excellent way to stay on budget without sacrificing quality.
